Summer Color by Notes and Rests Music Worksheets

Make note and rest recognition more enjoyable with these Summer Color by Notes and Rests Music Worksheets! Students identify musical notes and rests, match them to the correct colors, and reveal cheerful summer pictures. These printable activities combine music theory review with hands-on coloring, making them a practical choice for elementary music lessons, end-of-year review, music centers, early finishers, and no-prep substitute plans.

I like using these coloring pages when my students need a break from traditional music theory worksheets. Instead of simply naming symbols, they get to work toward completing a colorful summer picture. It's an easy way to keep practicing familiar notes and rests without making the lesson feel repetitive.
